Currently using it on deployment...as I type. I'm lying in it now. This is much more roomy than the army sleep system...and doesn't have the thousand cords to lay on and poke your side like the Army sleep system. This is perfect. Get it. Don't think too hard. I'm happy. Just waiting for Multicam or OCP..and Woodland Camo, Black Muticam?

It's quality enough for a poncho liner, the price is right when considering other options like the Helikon Tex Swagman or the rare USMC poncho liner with zippers. This is a good lightweight piece of kit that after you cut off the noisy zipper pulls and put fabric on/ make toggles for the tie off points it's good to go.

Excellent quality. Snaps and zipper makes it very versatile.

    - Ranger Green - If you're thinking about getting this, stop thinking and just place your order. Perhaps not many folks get too worked up about a poncho liner. I mean....its just a woobie, right? Depends on how you look at it. Being prior military and still having one of my originals and 3 other Gov't Issue liners, along with 9 other "GI style" woobies that I purchased for family members, I can say that this one stacks up well against them all. While this woobie is not Gov't Issue, its awesome nonetheless. No camo patterns here. Just a whole lotta' green. Much like the "GI style" woobies, its a little thicker than the original Gov't Issue ones but it already has that worn-in soft feeling to it right out the box. I don't think anything feels as comfortable as "ol faithful" but this one is pretty damn close. I like it head and shoulders above any of the other non-GI liners. Zipper and snap closures are a nice upgrade. It has the ties as well (I'll probably cut mine off though). I draped my long-time GI woobie on top of this one and they're about the same size... I think my ol' friend has about an inch in length on this one and they're the same width. The quilting pattern is different. The stitching is straight up and down in columns as opposed to the traditional s-style stitching. This thing really is very comfortable. It seems to be well-made...good stitching with no loose threads. I like that the zipper is plastic.... BUT.... the zipper pulls are metal and they "clank".... A LOT. 10 minutes into receiving this woobie, I cut the metal pulls off of the hardware and installed my own paracord pulls. Problem solved! So 5 stars for the product. I give 5 stars to 5tar Gear as well. I ordered mine in Ranger Green back at the beginning of January just as they went out of stock. I was in contact with Stephanie at 5tar Gear and she advised me that it would be the end of the month before they received more. She offered to ship the black one or provide me with a prompt full refund. Having no shortage of woobies, I opted to wait for the green one. It was a long wait, but Ms. Stephanie kept me informed of my order, and let me know when it was finally on the way to my doorstep. Now I want another one to zip together with this one. I could save 5 bucks and order it from either Amazon or Ebay, but I'll be placing my order with 5tar again for this one. I am happy with the product and happy with the customer service, hence this rather lengthy review. Buy it.

This woobie, aka poncho liner, is a necessary piece of gear for anyone who goes camping or just likes a nice lightweight blanket. Adding the zipper makes it that much better allowing a light sleeping bag. I've used it once and also washed it once and love the quality you get for the price.
